Who we are

Driving in Scotland is operated by Fifteen 86 Ltd, company number 12618906, registered in England and Wales. We are the controller responsible for how we use your personal information.

Our registered office and correspondence address is Suite 6297a, 60 Tottenham Court Road, London, W1T 2EW, United Kingdom. Contact hello@drivinginscotland.co.uk with privacy questions or requests.

Newsletter subscriptions

When you subscribe, we use your email address, subscription status and signup/confirmation records to manage and send the newsletter. New subscribers are asked to confirm their address. An unconfirmed signup may receive a confirmation reminder.

We rely on your consent to send marketing emails. You can unsubscribe using the link in any newsletter. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. You do not have to subscribe to read our public articles.

Beehiiv provides our subscription and email-delivery service. Its email technology measures opens using a tracking pixel and can record clicks through tracked links. This can produce engagement records associated with a subscriber. Email privacy features can affect the accuracy of those measurements. We use newsletter reporting to understand delivery and readership.

Enquiries

If you email us, we use your contact details and the information in your message to reply and manage the enquiry. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to readers and running the publication. Where you ask us to take steps towards a contract, or an enquiry concerns an existing contract, we may process information for that purpose.

Website and technical information

Our website is hosted by Framer. Framer describes its native analytics as cookieless. We have not deliberately added Google Analytics or advertising pixels to the website.

When newsletter signup is available, it uses a form provided by Beehiiv. Loading or using the form connects your browser to Beehiiv, which may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser/device information as well as information you submit. The form is a separate service from Framer’s native analytics.

We are checking the form’s specific use of cookies and browser storage with Beehiiv and will update this notice when those details are confirmed. We do not describe the embedded form as cookie-free. You can contact hello@drivinginscotland.co.uk with questions about this processing.

Service providers and sharing

We use Framer for website hosting, Beehiiv for newsletter subscriptions and delivery, and Google Workspace for business correspondence. Relevant information is processed through these services to operate the publication. Their contractual roles depend on the service and activity concerned.

We may also share information where required by law or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We do not sell our mailing list.

Our current website offers articles. Newsletter signup is temporarily paused. Paid products are not available at launch. We will update our information before introducing purchasing and payment services.

Retention

We keep subscription information for as long as it is needed to manage your subscription. After you unsubscribe, limited suppression information may be retained to help prevent further marketing to you, together with necessary evidence of your consent and withdrawal.

We assess how long to keep enquiry records according to whether the matter remains open, any continuing relationship, relevant legal obligations and the need to resolve disputes. We do not intend to retain personal information indefinitely merely because storage is available.

Unsubscribing stops marketing; it does not necessarily delete every record. Contact us if you want to request erasure, and we will assess what can be deleted and what needs to be retained.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal information. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and can object to direct marketing at any time. You can withdraw consent where we rely on it.

Changes to this notice

We will update this notice as our services or use of information changes and show the revision date above.
